Dr. Juan M Solá-Sloan is a full professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon.  Dr. Solá has a Ph.D. in computing information science and engineering and a Master's in computer engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.  He also holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón.  

His dissertation topic was in Data Communications in TCP Offload specifically.  His current interests are in various topics in computing: Information Assurance, Network and Queuing Theory, Analysis of Algorithms, Competition Programming, Graph Theory, Computer History, and Cases in Computer Ethics.
